DELIGHTFUL ENTERTAINMENT!
Gianni Mollica opened our evening with a lovely serenade over a karaoke system which he brought to the meeting for our listening pleasure. Thank you, Gianni!
NEW MEMBER:
This meeting had one of the largest attendances we have ever had. We welcomed Tony Funicello as our newest member. Welcome Tony! We certainly hope that your very special lady will join us at our next function, since this club is very definitely for the women, too! (as a matter of fact … what would they EVER do without us???)
MINUTES:
The meeting was convened at approximately 6:30 p.m., and upon a motion made and seconded, the minutes of the June 19th meeting were unanimously accepted as CORRECTED (…the picnic reported on the previous minutes took place on June 5th not June 12th as written, as was correctly pointed out by our historian and amazing “rememberer of all dates,” our dear Gladys!)
FOLLOW-UP ON PAST EVENTS:
June 23-27 Frederick, MD - AROC National Convention
Both John & Jackie Karabotos and Tom & Marcia Roberts attended, and reported on, the AROC National Convention in Frederick, Maryland. The weather was perfect on that weekend and there were approximately 300 to 350 Alfas in show. Tom reported that the cross-country cruise they participated in was very enjoyable, while the Autocross could have been marked off more clearly to make the event more enjoyable by assisting the drivers to easily stay on the course. Obviously, fun was had by all!
COMING EVENTS IN 2010:
August 14 Rally to Bok Tower Gardens, Lake Wales for a tour and lunch with the Florida
and the Southwest AROC clubs
September 9-12
Caravan to Mars Hill, North Carolina. Participants will “cruise” up to Mars Hill on September 9th, to stay at Andy & Vicki Sorenson’s new “Mars Hill Inn” for a few days. September 11 Rally to the Tampa Bay Auto Museum, Pinellas Park with Florida Alfa Club.

“Thai Thani Restaurant,” 600 Market Street, Celebration, Florida. (See

November 6 VIVA ALFA ROMEO 2010 CAR SHOW & PARADE, Celebration, Florida
(Howard already has 16 sponsors! Hip, hip hooray!) followed by leading the
Kissimmee Old Towne Parade in our Alfas and Fiats.
